This notice applies when school staff send a quote request through the form on our website, and when anyone creates a free account.
Who is collecting your details. TeachEd Pty Ltd, ABN 93 703 264 037. Contact us at admin@teached.com.au.
What we collect. Your name, role, school email address, phone number (optional), school details, the textbooks you are interested in, the estimated number of students, your preferred start, whether you need a quote before raising a purchase order, how you heard about us and anything you write in the message. Please do not include student names or details.
Why we collect it. To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote for your school and, if your school goes ahead, set up its subscription. If you leave out the required details we cannot prepare a quote.
Who sees it. TeachEd staff. Your details are stored in our database in Sydney and sent to us by email. Our email provider, and Cloudflare (which protects the form from automated abuse), process them on our behalf, and some of that processing may happen overseas, including in the United States. We do not sell your details or add you to a marketing list.
Your choices. You can ask to see or correct your details, or ask us to delete your enquiry, by emailing admin@teached.com.au. Our privacy policy explains how we protect your information and how to make a complaint.
When you create a free account
This part of the notice applies when you create a free account to read Chapter 1.

What we collect. Your email address, a password (stored only as a secure one-way hash), whether you are a student, a teacher, or a parent or carer, the name of your school if you choose to give it, and your confirmation that you are 15 or older or that a parent or carer is creating the account. We do not collect your name, date of birth, home address or phone number.
Why we collect it. To verify your email address, run your account and open Chapter 1. We look at role and school answers only in summary, to understand who is using the free chapter. If you leave out the required details we cannot create the account.
How long we keep it. Until the account is deleted: by you, from Your account, or by us when you ask, or automatically once nobody has signed in to it for two years and any paid access has ended. For security we keep a record of sign-ins and failed attempts for 90 days, with no email address or password.
Age. You must be 15 or older to create an account yourself. If you are under 15, a parent or carer needs to create the account for you.
Who sees it. TeachEd staff. Account details are stored in our database in Sydney. Our email provider sends the verification and password reset emails on our behalf, and Cloudflare (which protects the form from automated abuse) checks technical signals from your browser. Some of that processing may happen overseas, including in the United States. We never use a student's information for marketing.
Your choices. You can delete your account yourself from Your account, or ask to see, correct or delete it by emailing admin@teached.com.au. A parent or carer can do the same for a child's account. Our privacy policy explains how we protect your information and how to make a complaint.
